Dreiliņi is located on Riga's eastern periphery, approximately 8 km from the city centre. Administratively, Dreiliņi is split between Riga city (Vidzeme Suburb) and Stopiņi Parish within Ropaži Municipality. This border position between Riga and the greater Riga region gives the area particular logistics significance.

Dreiliņi sits between two major routes — the A6 (Latgales iela) and A2 (Vidzeme Highway) — making the district an ideal logistics node with access to Riga's ring road.
